這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的意思是to feel completely out of place,也就是“感到不自在”。

Bob always feels like a fish out of water when he is at his girlfriend’s office party.

2. Like Water off a Duck’s Back

這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的意思是no effect on a person,也就是“對(duì)某人不起作用、對(duì)牛彈琴”。

Terry never gets upset when he is criticized. It’s like water off a duck’s back.

3. A Drop in the Ocean

這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)的意思是"a very small amount compared to the amount needed", 相對(duì)于所需要的量來(lái)說(shuō),現(xiàn)有的量根本不夠,相當(dāng)于杯水車薪。
